Quick question for experienced cannabutter'er +REP

If i use 1/2 pound of butter (2 sticks) to 2.5 oz of highgrade trim leaf and bud .. will this give me good results..

im just simmering the goods as we speak


the cookies im trying to make call for a half stick of butter.. will half a stick be enough to get these things to woop ass

also the instructions tell me to simmer the butter canna and water for 2 hours.. does this mean with or without a lid?.. i would think yes but my instructions in a book dont specify
 
You dont need a lid bro it doesnt matter. Just make sure that you strain the trim out once you've boiled it. Press all the trim out to make sure you get all the butter. The longer you cook the trim the less it tastes like ganja. I would advise at least 6 hours. There are temps that you want to stay around. and make sure to freeze the liquid you get. The water will separate from the butter once frozen. Dispose of water (or reuse) and use your butter ;)

easiest way if you have a crock pot 2 hours on high 2 on low.
detailed instructions-
put water and butter and bud in crock pot
stir it till its nice and good you dont want it to boil as much tho.
2 hours on high with top on it stir once or twice throughout
stir
2 hours on low stir every 30 mins
strain with cheese cloth and squeeze to get all the good ness out.
place in a container in the fridge and let sit overnight if you used a thin container there will be a top layer of butter but the water is still underneath it.
drain it.
then presto butter and yes that is more than enough general rule is 2 oz per 1 lb of butter.
