quick question i cant find the answer anywhere

Hello, im flowering under a 150 hps in a 2x2 space. I wanted to know if there are height limitations on the plant size for the 150. And if there is i need recomendations for a bigger light that wont cook my space. im also running a 4x60 watt bulb t-5 setup for vegging with a 150 cfm high speed ham radio fan any answers or tips would be nice (sorry i dont have pics ill try ti get some up soon)

Height limitations would have more to do with your grow environment than your plant, possibly; of course much depends on the strain you're growing in terms of what to expect with regard to height of the plants.

my max plant is about 3 feet i got up to 12 feet high but obviously icant go anywhere near that i just wanted to know if with a three foot max plant if the 150hps was adequate enough or wether a 250 would drasticaly improve my yeild im pulling a consistant 18-22 g a plant. keep in mind its a 2x2x12 (corner of a closet) and i know the 250 runs a little hotter and i need a recomendation for a fan

i think the 150 will be good enough for a light.. i understand your concerns about light penetration.. cfls don't have that much of light penetration compared to hps's.. i use a 250 and the heat is not all that bad with it.. i would suggest using the t5 with some bloom bulbs in it along with the hps to get that light down to the lower reaches of the plant if you are concerned that much about it.. that is what i am doing this grow, and it seems to be allowing the bottom buds to be getting much more light

thanks i know i should be yeilding more than i am. i trying to stay in a cycle where im pulling plant atleast every two weeks

light penetration is your biggest limitation with smaller wattage's.

A 250 probably only penetrates the canopy about 14". Anything below there won't produce much at all, so LST in order to keep the plants very short, and they produce more bud sites, within the reach of the light.

It's worth upgrading to 250, but you really need 400w+ to grow any serious bud.

thanks im gonna just go with a bigger room and light anyway i just wanna keep my closet for breeding purposes. thanksfor the advice and knowledge
