Quick question on topping

First I will start with a little back story. I germed 10 seeds and let them go. halfway through the grow on of the cfl's i was using fell on on of my plants and topped it for me. I figured i would let it go because it was still pretty healthy and it ended up growing pretty good. When i started to flower, all but two plants and my crazy girl were female. I am only a week into flowering and was wondering if I could top my other two girls since they are about a foot taller than the topped one and it is too hard to keep the topped one close enough to the light. Will that cause any problems or would it just slow growth for a while? Never topped before so i figured this would be a good chance to try for fun.

i've mentioned it before in other threads, supercropping is when you pinch in one direction then the opposite and knock the stem over. doing this without completely tearing the outer layer of the stem, a huge knuckle will grow and the plant will be stuck horizontal, and it's shoots will turn upright.
