Quickest way to induce flowering

I am not new to growing.
but i wanted to know whats the quickest way to induce flowering(from seed) so im not wasting my time growing a male.

help appreciated

just start them off with 12/12 and they will start to flower, but you might want to veg for 1 week then switch.

i also have this question going, maybe more info would help.

you have a plant vegging, you wanna sex it.
you take a clone and stick it in the flower room. the rest of the plant is still vegging to take more clones later.

how do you sex the clone fast ?
- do 11/13 instead of 12/12 (or even less)
- leave it in the dark for 1 day out of every 3?
- some crazy nutes / additive schedule?
- torture it with electrodes MacGuyver style?

i dont care about the damage to the clone, just that i get sex early so i dont waste time with male plants.

This guy in my grow journal said top each plant and use the top for a clone, then sex the clone while the plants are still vegging. However clones need at least 1-2 weeks before they are rooted and they wiil not show sex until they root. Rooting them requires veg lighting cycles 24/0 or 18/6 first. The vegging plants should be at 5-6 nodes tall before removing a clone, at least that is my thinking. But taking a clone and then once rooted switching to 12/12 would help in some time saving just so the boys could be removed. Not too sure how much time or grow space would be saved, if any time at all.

For this group of babies that I have going I am going to top in about a week and use those as clones for sexing purposes, all experimental for me because I've never cloned before. Be a bummer if I did it wrong and they RIP'ed.

this is a lie, a seedling WILL NOT flower untill its ready. currently my seedlings are in third week of 12/12 and still no preflowers. there a foot tall, bushy as hell, with no preflowers after 3 weeks.


the quickest way to enduc flowering? there is NONE. you have to be patient and wait it out is all.

oh yea, P.S. to make sure you dont have males GLOW CLONES.

honestly, when it comes to seedlings this is the ONLY way to confirm sex other than flowering it, and this takes just as long as flowering it.

Straight 12/12 will actually delay flowering compared to slight vegging as you are not triggering anything in the plant besides that fact that it will get 12/12 light. Veg for about 2 weeks under 24/0, and then switch to 12/12. It is the drop in light hour not the actual 12/12 the plants are looking for. (I prefer two days of darkness still myself but flowering will trigger with or without)

The quickest way is to run the plant at 12/12 from seedling. A plant will go through its veg stage regardless. However, it will move to flower ASAP. It should take about a month. Even if you have a plant already in veg, give it 36hrs of dark and then switch to 12/12. Once it shows sex you can re-veg the plant. That shouldn't take more than 2 weeks.

A plant will veg faster under 18 or 24 hours of light rather then 12 as its getting more energy and can work faster which in turns means it can switch to flowering sooner.

i know.i found someone that will let me grow a plant at there house. so i want to germintae a seed and just hope its a female...makes me wanna get on it asap.

i didnt htink it would get this many hits early on.
but i like it

kep em coming as ill start the germintaing tonight so ill have plenty of time to get many more debates

ultimately this is true, the fastest way from seed-bud is to germ the seed then go strait into 12/12. i've seen it done in as little as 78 days from dry seed-harvest.

yes but 1 month (30 days) of veg added to a minimum 8 weeks (60 days), maximum 12 weeks (90 days) dependent on genetics flowering period makes it 90-120 days/harvest. this is not a viable option looking for the fastest route. plants germinated and then poped under 12/12 light can finish in as little as 80~ days.

Thats cool, and if I mentioned at any point 30 days it would actually have meaning. Thing is I didn't, and it doesn't. Theres no way around it, a plant cannot go straight into flowering, it has to mature slight before this can happen. Also no way around it that a plant grows fastest with 18+ hours of light. Really the only thing debatle is how long to veg in 18+ hours for, like 1 week, 2 weeks, ect because a plant doing straight 12/12 won't mature fastest.
