Rabbits ate my stem last night. Will it survive?

Woke up to found one of my best plants stems had been chewed to hell by I believe rabbits. Do you think the plant will survive? They pretty much got the whole base stem stripped

Wrap the trunk, stake it for support and cage it. That should take you through harvest.

There are so many rabbits around this year, not enough coyotes.

I agree about wrapping with duct tape. I used masking tape on a broken trunk (broken almost clean through) a few weeks ago, and it's perfectly fine now.

It'll survive as long as you work on some kind of rabbit repellent..otherwise he may just come back and do some more damage. I use a mix of linseed oil, hot sauce, crushed red pepper and garlic powder...spread on the ground in a circle around each plant. You can use regular vegetable oil instead of linseed oil...and I've read that elmer's glue can also be used in place of oil.
