Holy shit-----I couldn't sleep so I got up and went down stairs----walking into the kitchen and thought I was in a tropical rain forest-there was water dripping from all the can lights in the ceiling and a big paint bubble full of water(size of a soccer-ball) hanging down--I about shit myself---rain up stairs and my sink drain was clogged and full of water--my R/O tank has a float in it-I never thought to rig something for the sink-I don't know what the hell could have plugged it up-what a bitch-i'm going to have to pull the ceiling in the kitchen now-what a miserable $%^&&&& job that will be----$^&*...

I'm going to have to fix that shit myself----What really sucks is that I just spent a week on my flowering room(lifted the floor a foot---laid a water proof membrane then plywood then thin-set then backer board then mortar then tile then groat then sealer---you get the drift--10' x 15') if the water would have been in there the shit would have just went down the drain and not through the floor into my kitchen---I was planning on laying a similar water proof tile floor in my veg room next week----when it rains it pours--:spew:-

I feel your pain man...I had a water bed that broke..thats bad enough..but at the time I had $20,000 worth of band equipment and a RENTED 3000w PA downstairs..
F***..................plus when I tried to go in my room, my floor had buckled and I had to break the door... sure does pour..

Holy shit-----When I went down stairs it was like being in a rainstorm---I was tired as hell to boot---it took me 6 hours just to clean up most of the mess---the humidity is just starting to go down now---I cut a hole in the floor and routed my portable air-cond. exhaust vent in it(the thing blows really warm air) seems to be drying thins up nice.

Hey Dr. V... sorry to hear that shit happened to you :(

I have a portable RO machine that I have hooked up to a bathroom sink upstairs..... I fill a couple of 5 gallon water bottles each week. Last week when I was filling one I forgot to set a timer to remind me and got busy with work and forgot about it..... I was reminded when I heard dripping and looked up from my desk to see water coming through the ceiling.

Luckily I caught mine before it was a major problem.... but I did spend a good half hour mopping up water upstairs and down. I'll never forget to set a timer again

Thanks for the support---I've got to rig something up in the drain-sink -such as a float -valve or something---thank god I couldn't sleep that night----All that water was from about a 2 hour period-It could have been an 8 hour flood--that shit would have destroyed a lot of shit.----I will have to do the repair myself---Insurance adjusters like to poke around to much if you know what I mean---I did see a "WATTS-ZERO WASTE UNIT" at ace yesterday-I guess you don't even need a drain once you add it to your system-will have to look into it.
