Ramp up of new light

Hi Guys!
I'm 7 weeks in to my grow. Currently I have a 400watt MH over the babies and I plan on switching to 12-12 next week or the week after depending on their growth over the next few days.

I've used my 400 in a previous grow and while it turned out good it definitely wasn't the best. I am also using the same bulb as last time so I imagine I can be getting better results. I've purchased a 600 watt mh/hps which should be arriving early next week.

so here is my question.. do I put in the 600 and let them veg for another week under 50-75% power or will I be ok to straight switch to 12-12 with the new light at 50-75% powerfor a couple weeks then ramp it up?

yeah you'll be ok doing that.. there's no rules really you could do one or the other as the first week of flip is a transitional period to full flower.id use the new light and flip straight away
