Random - but - durable and movable reflective material??

Yes - its Hornchen with another random question. So, I am trying to maximize the area in my closet and I have thought of a perfect idea - to divide the close in a way to have a veg and flower area in the same general location.

Room is 6 1/2 feet by 4 1/2 feet by 7 feet tall - I have shelves planned to go up against the back wall, and 'blocking' it off. It is 20 inches from the wall and I will be hanging T5's to veg, probably 4 or 5 shelves, 6 foot long.

I want to block these shelves off in a way to maintain air flow ( I have oscillating clip fans that will be hanging near the lights to maintain air movement ) yet prevent excessive light penetration. I will never be running a 24/7 cycle but even if I do 18/6 on some I don't want that to mess with my 12/12 on the others.

Panda Film? I figure mylar would rip after the 2nd or 3rd time ( or sooner haha ) of accessing the area or would I be better of trying to fashion a couple of black sheets and Velcro/pin them up and realize that on that side I wont have reflective material?

Thanks again everyone!

Look into military grade IR Blocker blankets you can buy a big roll of it, tougher than maylar or panda, should last you for years...also the way things been going in Cali we all might need a whole lot of it again....

I will def check into that! I was worried that the blankets will cause hot spots or tear easily - I think I remember people talking about the 'camping blankets' from walmart being not so good - but the military grade are worth it?

Side note - I think I'm out of the loop, whats going on in Cali?

I don't think the military sells their products to the public. And I believe he's talking about indoor grow operations getting busted by FLIR cameras seeing houses with high heat and busting down the door. I wouldn't be worried about that happening with your closet grow. These are large scale medical suppliers or just straight up criminals with 10s of thousands of watts.

I heard good things about those emergency blankets at walmart. I hear heatspots come from aluminum foil.

Military will sell 'surplus' items at mom and pop shops that are similar to sports shops - they have flags, BDU's, shirts, knives, compasses, hats, etc. I will check ( we have one less than 10 min from my house ) but i'm not sure if they will have the blankets. I will check them and also grab one or two from walmart.

Thanks again everyone,
