Rapid yellowing outdoor

I know i need pics. I will have to take some on my next trip. I got some plants been in the ground since April. They are in clay. I dug holes twice the size of a 5 gallon bucket and filled them with my own mix.

They are about 4 weeks into flower. One plant has turned yellow. The whole plant in a couple days. I'm thinking root rot.

I have used Miracle grow veg and bloom nutes. I am sure that is not the problem being the plants are 4 months old. I guess I am wondering what would kill a plant and turn it yellow in a matter of days.

It starts out as brown spots on green leaf then turns yellow. Maybe a cal mag issue

Did the symptoms start from the bottom of the plant or start at the top and work its way down?

Look at this, it always helps me

Started at bottom and middle then within a day the top.
I'm thinking about digging up flushing then replanting. I don't want to but I will lose it if I don't.
It is moving fast. Al this has happened in a few days.


It is a ww x bid bud from herbies. It has been a nitrogen whore. I backed off because of flowering. I'm stumped.

have you had alot of rain? you mentioned clay? if you dug out clay and filled with soil and it has been wet out could be that excess water is not draining propely and they are drowning.

If it started at the bottom and worked its way to the top of the plant that means you have a deficiency, if it would have started at the top and went to the bottom, that means you burned it with an abundance. Bottom to Top - def, Top to Bottom - Burn

i would suggest digging them up and putting it in a container that has plenty of drainage.

^^ That what I was thinking. I will dig it up. It might be hungry. I just know everyone says to back off nitro during flower.

meh if its hungry for nitrogen feed it...fuck what everybody says..i bet a new pot, a good feed and some good drainage will do you wonders.

Hit it with Cal-Mag, then hit it with a P-K booster and some type of nitrogen foliar for recovery and she should be fine. thats how mine bounced back and my leaves looked about the same as urs

Sounds like N deficiency, but that would not explode w/symptoms in just "a couple days". Overabundance of water can do it. Also severe water deficit can do it.

They have been in ground 4 months, might also be a short-running strain wanting to cash out.

Not much help I know, just some thoughts. Pic might help.

Im going to dig it up. Make sure its not root rot from the clay holes. I cut a 35 gallon trash can in half. I will transplant in that and flush real good. I will post pics when i go.

Rite now I've got 6 plants outside 5 in one group and 1 all by it's self the single pant has the most stickiest and stinkiest buds but its a yellow green the other 5 are deep emerald green they look absolutely fabulous .......but they don't have the sticky or stinky buds that the sickly appearing plant has.........and you know what I'm not worrying bout it..........i will say that the sickly looking one is in natural ground with very little amendments I did add some worm castings the last watering.......the other 5 are in a combination of fox farm and other soil I had at home at the time of planting andI just incorperated the store bought soil with the natural earth........very little nutes have been added during the grow season thru last week. We'll see how it goes and if I'm inclined I might show some pics of the plants in question so everyone can see the difference......maybe I'm different I enjoy smoking what I've grown not worrying about why its yellow or green or wilted.......I just enjoy the smoke and you know what I sleep well every night.....!
