yeah i know i have a intel right now :) but intel are just to expensive. the phenom x4 performs just as good for a much lower price tag :)
depends on what you use it for, intel has much higher computational processing power, good for things like 3d rendering, file servers, etc, amd is a solid processor, but good for things like photoshop, flash, and online games..

it increases the speed your computer can communicate with your hard drive because there are no moving parts. It's also cooler and your data is safer. mine is raided for speed, no mirror so if it died i would have to rely on my NAS being up to date.

orderd a ddrram drive...much faster than SSD and when I dump it NO amount of tech can retrieve the info.....just want it for doing my videos and then store em on regular drive......but suppose to really kick it...its not for everyone due to if you lose power you are done....lol........I like new toys so I got it......should get here about same time as new laptop I hope. cantg wait to try out the drive.

An SSD has no moving parts. So it's silent, and theoretically lasts longer than HDD. (Yet to be fully proven.) Beyond that, they usually have the same access speed, meaning, the throughput (amount of data) that gets passed between the Hard Disk (or Stateless Drive) is relatively the same and is only governed by the amount of RAM you possess. Meaning, if you have a 128GB SSD with 2GB RAM, and you have a 128GB HDD with 8GB RAM, I would take the HDD computer -- because the throughput is relatively the same, but the amount of "instant access" memory, or RAM ( Random Access Memory ) is greater, meaning your applications respond faster.

Don't get me wrong, Macbook Air is badass. ( And that is an example of good use of an SSD )
