re-potting and topping the top of the plant, should it be done at the same time??

my friend has a crop going well but he topped the plants and also re-potted them on the same day one after another, what are the effects of this??

No effects if he repotted properly.

Topping just affects hormones in the plant, very little stress. Just be gentle on the re-pots and he'll be fine.
