Ok RIU im starting to hate my fucking ez cloner, piece of shit has never given me a single fucking clone that was worth keeping, what am I doing wrong? Im tempted to throw this plastic piece of shit tub away.

So I use NPK-root concentrate, and phd water, temperature in the 70s lol this is by far the biggest waste of money ever. any advise or chuck the piece of shit in the trash?

Chuck it. Go get some kind of cup that will be pitch black inside, put tap water in it and root it there. Seriously. No light to the root area or roots will not form. Tap water only. Just like housewives have done for many years to make a clone.

some strains don't like to root no matter what you do to them, and others seem like they'd root themselves...

idk what the ez cloner looks like, but was wondering if it has a humidity dome with it?? if not, i'd find something to use for one for the first few days..
you can also spray the clones several times a day with plain old water as when they don't have roots, they have no way of getting water until roots form..
what else.. i'd stop using any kind of nutes for a week or two after they get established.

i've also noticed tha bigger clones seem to root better for me for w/e reason..

ya the ez cloner does not have a humidity dome-but the manual itself says dont use the dome...but ill mist em-honestly I think its the heat when I think about it, could 80s and maybe a few days of 90s be bad, i cut these llike 3 weeks ago, and sometimes it got hot in the room until I got my AC

Are you trimming the leaves on your clones? because it is hard to get cloning wrong when using a cloner.

you could try planting the cuttings in dirt cups also, but then you have to water by hand. I have bought a couple mist emitters for aeroponics but planting the cuttings in dirt works almost everytime for me.
I use jade kine's technique I read about somewhere, I make a second cut underwater in distilled water right before 5 seconds in the dip n gro (15x concentration), then into the dirt and water it right away. keep the cuttings out of the heat and just get it done quickly, maybe that way would work for aero too.

You don't need a dome with an EZ cloner, all the moisture the cuttings need come from below......choose a cutting 2 3 nodes down make a clean razor cut....dip in hormones (optional), set in ez cloner but do not submerge cutting, place right above water....just make sure your water level stays at the same level.....and just be patient.....don't keep checking on them every 5 minutes....once a day or every other day make sure the water level is right....some strains take longer than others.......again just be patient......and you should be successful..

Well I don't know what ur doing wrong but my ez cloner works miracles all I gotta do is cut dip in gel and in 7 to 10 days I got atleast 2 inch roots that are healthy do u keep the humidity higher where u setup ur cloner this is funny my cloner was one of my best investments but idk

I've been trying to practice cloning on tomato plants so I'll be ready for my girls when they grow and I can't even clone a tomato.... Those things are supposed to root themselves even if it is just a branch that fell off the plant....and I can't even get one to clone...with or without hormones....maybe we are just doing something wrong

I use peat pellets personally. Expand them in hot un Ph'd water, make a small hole to put your cutting, take a cut (i use scissors, same ones I trim with) at a 45, trim leaf tips and extra nodes.... dip and plant. Everything I get from walmart, hormones and all. Cost not even $10. Have them in a tupperware container in my mother box. Root in ~10 days. I've only taken about 50 clones thus far using this method, but I've had 100% success rate with them. My mindset is, as long as the conditions are correct, there's no reason why a clone will not root. Also my average clone is about 1.5" tall. No yellowing leaves, no drooping... To me just proves, we're growing a weed after all...
