Really slow growth question/help

I started the seedling in a peat pellet about a month ago and it seemed to be going pretty fast......I made a mix of peat moss,manure/humus/ewc and some perlite which i transferred it to. Since then it looks pretty good and green but I feel like it should definitely be a little larger by now. I've noticed a small dry area on the smaller leaves with a spot on it (Lower leave on right side in 2nd pic)...not sure if it's slight deficiency or what..? Should I have added lime and can I still? Not sure if this base mix is enough to sustain it. It's in a basement, the heat is generally 69-72 in the plant area....it's under a 105 watt CLF..watered every few days with either bottled water or tap water(that usually sits out for a few days). I've grown a little bit before and just feel like this is pretty slow...I'm I crazy?

most common mistake is over-watering. Let the soil completely dry out before watering. Lift up your pot every few days and feel the difference between watered (really heavy) and dry (light). make sure you have your light a few inches away. Could also be a bad seed but i doubt it.

It could be a little bigger i guess. 105 watt is the actual, or equivelent? Get a PH kit check the runoff. It seems a bit too soon to have any lower leaves dying off. You might have an issue somewhere. I have never mixed my own from scratch, just added to a pre made mixture. You might need to suppliment, but it will grow a little slower and less robust under CFL anyways. But those lower leaves yellowing is telling me it is lacking nitrogen.

Also remember that after any transplant growth will slow while the plant devotes most of it's energy to expanding its root system to fill the new pot. Once its root system is good and established you should see the rapid growth return. That being said, if there is no lime in the soil it might not hurt to add a little cal-mag when you water, although in theory it should be getting enough from the water unless you're using distilled/reverse osmosis

the 105 watt is actual.....i do have a hydro ph meter but that should work right? I'll order some cal-mag and keep the transfer slowing it down into consideration as well. Thanks a ton guys.

That's about right for a 100 watt cfl. Could be greener , give it some veg nutes and see if it greens up.

ok...I got some cal-mag and BMO Grow it Green coming. I'm going to add some lime to the first inch or two of soil. I found my ph meter and also ordered some calibrating solution. So I should have the tools to take care of any problems. Thanks again guys

UPDATE: Since I've gotten a few things I've added lime to the soil, watered once with calmag and the second time with calmag and bmo grow it green(half dose). I've put it under a 150 watt HPS. I clipped the lowest set of leaves because they were dying/dead and the next set up is showing signs of trouble. Yellowing and some rust spots. I'm assuming it's a ph issue and the lime and calmag just haven't had enough time to fully kick in but I'm really not sure. Any advice?

i was having the exactly same problems, i think our plants are twins lol
anyway, i just trimmed those dead lower leaves and all of my plants are completely fine and growing healthy now.
give it some time, if it doesn't get better and if it spreads, try to add 1:10 urine into your water, then water it.
You can adjust the ph if you want to. urine doesn't affect the ph much when its diluted.

URINE???
(Piss, Ash, Is that what you're suggesting)
Where did you find this idea?

yea that seems a bit of a stretch haha.....but I'm glad to hear yours pulled through just fine.....I'm hoping mine does, and it should, just looking for something I can pinpoint and prevent in the future.

Wait, what?

I would leave them alone. It sounds like you're stressing them with everything you're doing. It's a weed that has grown without our help for many moons. See if giving it some time alone helps

It was doing this without me adding/doing anything to begin with. But yea after the mentioned things I've done I planned on just leaving it alone.
