hazey grapes

i actually got to test 1 cross i made with my joey weed C99 male this winter. it was a nice sticky short stuff super cali haze x cindy. it didn't particularly stand out in a grow with a bunch of hazes, thais and jacks except it might have been more resinous, but it was quite acceptable and had that taste of pride. it didn't taste like grapes as hoped when those haze phenos seemed apparent in both of it's parents under a halide instead of the new sodium on my 2nd grow. now it's been hit up with one of the last of JW's cinderella apollo males that sprayed everything else in the garden last winter.
i was REALLY impressed by DNA's sweet haze. oh that's a good one! STICKY like throw it at a wall juicy. it's very fruity too and the buzz is noticeably superior to gear that had a more generic motivational, but clearheaded high. it had hints of trippiness going on too that really impressed me. i just bought another fem that i'm going to hit with TGA's jack's cleaner 2 if i get a male out of my 3 beans of that trippy touchy feely fun strain.
eventually, i'd like to work sweet haze together with DJ short's purple & grape krush for a truly purple haze, probably by making a grape krush x "fast haze" out of cinderella or john sinclair's fast budding sativa trans-love, or seattle as i like to call it and make something less indica than GK sounds
i'd like to test all of the hazes & jacks i bred just to see if any really interesting synergies happen.
high quality seed's haze x skunk is still a favorite for a potent clearheaded motivational high with great abiility for tuning pain like hunger out with a long lasting buzz that doesn't turn stony after a couple weeks. that crossed with JC2 should be something great and i'd like to see what cindy apollo did to it too. if nothing else, the dry blunt flavor should improve.
i'm really excited to see what holy smokes malawi gold x cindy A turns out like as well as what malawi itself is like when it doesn't get fried by a light with no fan for a few hours. if it turns out that all 3 of my JC2 beans are female, then i'll gamble on using a malawi male instead. if the holy smokes gear lives up to MG's trippy lemon reputation, then that crossed with lemony JC2 should be a nice continuation of a theme with fresh genetics. as malawi gold still seems to be around and undiluted, maybe it will start showing up in new hazes, especially as it's a newer IBL to breeding.
i got an interesting bright crimson pheno autoflowering masterkush from black label seeds that had a decent enough, if not my thing, mid buzz that i want to use for breeding for color and shrinking longer flowering strains. maybe make a burgundy haze, or a red cherry haze using soma's tart cherry buddha's sister indica for flavor. i'd really like to mix buddha's sister with chocolope and see if it makes a chocolate cherry flavor. i still have 2 buddha's sister x G13 haze beans that are about 7 years old by now i've been saving for flavor breeding, but skipping the G13, it should be possible to make something hazier, especially with a haze back cross. it might not taste like cherries, but i bet some fruity sweet haze would be delicious with sour cherries. i'd imagine something kind of sour plum tasting.
as impressed as i've been with everything i've tried by DNA so far, i'd really like to try chocolope as well as "pricey" cannalope haze. i bet both are awesome too as their lemon skunk is my favorite for that too. i really want to get a lemon skunk female for JC2 or malawi pollination. lemon haze mutts of fun. i have some delicious sour cream x cindy As too i want to test to see if the slight odor can be mellowed and the buzz unlocked a little. for a typical smoker that likes at least a little stone, sour cream is delicious, but i seem to remember it being more like a sweet cream cheese, but distinctive for sure.
i'm really mostly happy just to have been able to try a bunch of fun at the very least strains to find that sweet haze "diamond in the rough". i'd like to find other top quality hazes that are still out there some day, but that one is more than good enough to me as is.
i'm happy just knowing i have enough fresh gear that's top quality that i can get high some more as well as over a dozen crosses and a couple BXes that i have diverse hybrid vigor to fall back on and select from to keep the ball rolling without cloning.
it's nice seeing them gals getting all plump with seeds. the great circle of life. all that good stuff. it gets in the way of smoking if that's all you're doing with smaller plants, and don't even think of doing that with extreme SCROG pruning as too much energy will go into making your beans and your plants will have to give up their fan leaves. i'll do brush pollination next time. forget the whole testing a field of 100 females thing. that can be done with back crossing. crossing good gear with good gear is a very fun hobby. it must be nice to be able to share the fruits of those labors with the world.
short version...
jack's cleaner 2, haze skunk, sweet haze & seattle are all worthy of crossing with anything for something nice. the black label masterkush is a decent enough mid that has a golden and a green pheno too in a compact plant that flips under 24h of shoplight with reasonable low odor that would be very productive in a sea of green if you had enough beans, or, just cross it with C99 etc. and get something better.
the STL in particular would be good for cabinet grows and stealth cloning. it's very budding intensive for a fruity average haze high. it's the closest thing to a cash cropping haze i've grown. i harvested everything early when the sodium polkadotted all of my plants the night i forgot to vent, but the seattle had a flat top of 8 NICE fruity colas i'd guess could have been up to 3 grams each twice topped in not much more than 30 days of flowering and that including making beans at the same time. the fast flowering time of the cindy As should be rally nice with the profuse budding of STL.
