Recirculating coco grow

Im currently trying to develop my methods for better results i have grown in soil for 15 years, my last grow was a run to waste coco system which turned out about the same as my soil grows i put this down to not having an ec meter and using a liquid ph tester and possibly not using good coco.

Im now using a 30% perlite 70% canna coco mix in 15l pots which are sat on top of a underbed box which im using as the res there fed by drippers which come on twice a day in the res i have an airstone and a pump not the most advanced system but the plants are 4 times better than my last run im currently at day 34 and already the buds are much bigger than they was at 8 weeks last time. im currently growing strawberry kush x blueberry x sour lemon kush @ ph 5.8 ec @ 1.8
im using dutch pro coco chems + an bud candy.

Has any one tried a organic recirculating coco system??

I'm doin my 1st grow in coco and proly shouldn't even tender a question here, but I gotta wonder what the advantage is over DTW?

anymore with using Drip Clean I'm not noticing that much more nute usage...

anyway, regardless those plants are looking good!!!!

i prefer dtw, because the plants are getting fresh nutes with every feed. with recirculating, there's going to be nutes being used by the plants and not replaced, at least not right away..

whats dtw lol, i dont quite understand why but my plants seem to prefer recirc i vegged using run to waste halfway through i changed to recirc.
I was having deficiencies with run to waste and as soon as i started recirc the deficiencies went away and the growth was improved this may be due to being fed twice a day now i will say though you really have to keep your eye on the ec and ph it fluctates alot and requires checking idealy every day. if the ec drops i ad nutrient solution with an ec of 1.4 to bring the ec back up and if it goes up i add water with only the beneficials to bring it down and i change the res every 7 to 10 days.
Im pretty sure drip clean is just to remove any salt build up or bio slime from your irrigation system it shudnt really increase nutrient uptake unless you have a problem with either.
Be sure to flush a low ec through once every 7-10 days as coco seems to build up with salts after about two weeks and this wipes out your roots and seriously reduces the quality and yield.

if you're getting salt build up, it's because you're not allowing for any/enough run-off, which is key in coco. really not a good idea to flush coco till the end.

i was feeding them 10l and getting 3 back that's 30% runoff ive always flushed them once a week in recirc it could be something to do with the coco holding on to certain salts.
i think if you always run an ec of 1.8 the salt content builds up over time like limescale and it needs low ec water to dissolve it away im not certain about that but im 90% sure
