Recommend hanging height for 8 lighter in 12 x 12

Got a bunch of these lights and the room will be using co2. 6 feet max height. Should I keep them high for light overlap(2 ft) or keep them close(1/2-1 ft)? Aiming for 1000 ppf across the canopy.

The logistics of raising and lowering the lights in that space kinda dictates having them all the way to the ceiling, the plants will grow into the light. With the wattage per light you can dial in high intensity by dimming. I see no point in trying to grow at 1000ppfd the first time you try them out, it's not that easy to keep everything fed properly and not get deficiencies.
