Recommendations for Silicic Acid product

Hey guys, I’m searching for a silica product that’s not potassium silicate. Most products seem to be potas silicate. I’m specifically looking for a silicic acid or monosilicic acid.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I know this is not exactly what you're after, but have you considered just using Diatomaceous earth sprinkled on the top of the soil? It supplies the needed silicon, and it will kill larvae and bugs on the soil surface. It literally slices and dices them.

The Silica in DE isn't available to the plant until it has been crushed or decomposed down to 5 microns or smaller:

Absolutely, Micronized DE is best, but even regular DE will have particles in the 5 micron range, and that is immediately available to the plant, as the larger particles degrade they also become available. It's just an option, I use it mostly for pests, but the added silicon to the soil is a plus.

Application Rates For Diatomaceous Earth As a Soil Amendment

Outdoor Gardens & Flower Beds:
2lb. To 5lb per 100 square feet of garden
(Applied Once Per Season)

Potted Plants: 1 to 3 tablespoons per gallon of soil
(Applied Once Per year)

Outdoor Cannabis Plants: 1/8 to ¼ Cup Per Cubic Foot Of Soil
(May Be Applied Twice Per Season)

Indoor Cannabis Plants: 1/8 to ¼ Cup Per Cubic Foot Of Soil
(Applied Once Per Cycle)

Appreciate this! - I’m going to give this a go with the next round that are beginning to peak out of their solo cups.

Have you guys heard of - alchemist stout msa? Looking into this for liquids form

additionally with DE and silica in general, are you supposed to stop feeding on flower? I’ve read so much contradicting shit on that. Thanks!

Check the arsenic content of any DE you use, it can be extremely high. I don't know if this stuff is any different than DE or what the heavy metal content is, but it looks interesting https://montanagrow.com/source I also use Grow Genius, I love how economical it is and it seems like it should last a good while since it's in some potent alcohol.

No you can continue to feed, Si actually helps the uptake of numerous elements.

"Application of Si shows the potential to increase nutrient availability in the rhizosphere and root uptake through complex mechanisms, which still remain unclear. Silicon-mediated transcriptional regulation of element transporters for both root acquisition and tissue homeostasis has recently been suggested as an important strategy, varying in detail depending on plant species and nutritional status. Here, we summarize evidence of Si-mediated acquisition, uptake and translocation of nutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), boron (B), chlorine (Cl), and nickel (Ni) under both deficiency and excess conditions. In addition, we discuss interactions of Si-with beneficial elements: aluminum (Al), sodium (Na), and selenium (Se). This review also highlights further research needed to improve understanding of Si-mediated acquisition and utilization of nutrients and vice versa nutrient status-mediated Si acquisition and transport, both processes which are of high importance for agronomic practice (e.g., reduced use of fertilizers and pesticides)."

Do you mix DE throughout the "soil", or just sprinkle on top?
