we are supposedly talking new grower. the best you can hope for from a new grower would be potential 7.5/10. my scale puts most high quality weed at a 6.5-7, with legit one hitter quitter thc fuckup 32% thc + 6%cbd +1.8% terpenes with 5-8% being decarbed scoring 10/10. i've been stuck reading results for the last week for fun btw.
http://analytical360.com/testresults has washingtons med results if you want a good look at some nug porn.
anyways as stated before the bagseed is so you don't drown, burn, starve, and basically waste the 50 dollars while losing confidence in your ability to grow weed.
Think, a newb spends $50 in seeds, $40 on growing supplies, and $150 on equipment hoping for only 6 oz (maybe $450-500 from their hookup, quality is about $650 worth). the newb kills the seeds and wastes $20 of the $40 of the supplies. another $50 + another $20 to start over. $270 +tax out of pocket so far... newb is on city water and is running lights during day to avoid pesky neighbors. they grow an okay plant yielding 4.5 oz of same grade as their hookup. water and power only cost them $85 for the whole grow luckily. $395. about what he pays hookup for 4.5. as this post implies, newb smokes ~2.5 oz a month and wont live without to the extremes of dropping $800 on weed every 4-6 months.
They really didn't save anything if you factor the unenjoyable work parts as man hours.
newb finding 10 bagseed from stuff he likes (or didn't but probably because it was grown very poorly in some crazy mix like horse shit, uncooked cow manure, wood chips, sifted ashes, and toxic "moon" sand) and germing with a 5/5 split then accidentally killing 2 females, having to kill 1 hermie, and only yielding 4 oz of some rare lost strains long lost phenotype saves $120 dollars by not buying seeds (twice.)
Point being, $275 for 4 is much more reasonable than $395 for 4.5 as a novice will generally arrive at the same results no matter what they buy until second grow.
sorry to ramble. killer 3 hour smoke vape eat session going on.
