Recycle Used Potting Soil Tips?

I have 2 containers left over from male plants and want to use the soil again. Before the plants were cut I was feeding with Mega Crop 4g/gal. I was just going to dump the pots out and remove all the roots and use the soil for transplanting into veg/flowering plants, should I run water thru the pots 1st to try and get the fertilizer out (flush) ?

No need to flush. Just try to get all the roots out and mix a little compost in it if you have any. Should be good to go. I do it all the time with no problems.

I recycled my soil for 6 years I just add work poop and blood bone and fish meal chopped it up and left the roots in just took out the main stalk and what ever root came with it after I use the trowel to cut around it

one thing i've found, soil can be reused many times, essentially forever with amendments. peat and coco cannot be reused forever. i've found that if i recycle either more than two or three times, i start having issues with root rot. so i keep three totes, first one new, second and third reused, the fourth time it goes into the garden, or down the creek

Yeah ...Me too..often I annually top up with another couple of bags up to 50%

I'll use coco twice if I can but I rinse it really good and then recharge it with a mild nutrient solution. After that it goes in the garden. Usually the root ball is so dense that it goes into compost after the first run. But growing media can sometimes be reused and I do if I can.

I'm using Black Gold Potting Soil and one thing I was concerned about is it breaking down and not being ideal for root growth and air movement. I noticed there are chunks of something, peat maybe, and it breaks down and turns into fine powder. I looked for the ingredients:

Contains:
Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss, Composted or Aged Bark, Compost, Earthworm Castings, RESiLIENCE®, Horticultural Grade Perlite, Pumice, or Cinders, OrganicGrade Fertilizer

Im only growing 2-4 plants at any one time which is less than 1 bag, but even saving $6.99 every other grow is some savings.
