Redemption

I doubt if anyone remembers me but I had some really unfortunate circumstances that prevented me from properly harvesting a plant every year prior to this one. So I figured I would come on here and post my lady as a form of redemption, planning on chopping in three weeks roughly or right before frost whichever comes first.

Yours might be ice cream cake as well. A beautiful strain to grow.
It’s possible but I think your ice cream cake is a bit better looking, mine simply doesn’t have as many trichs, and I should mention that my plant is maybe 1 1/2 - 2 ft tall lol.

hope you didnt jinx yourself here.
I hope not as well but the only thing that could mess it up now would be this non-stop hurricane rain, and it’s not as constant or heavy as last year so it’s not as much of a concern.
I had some bud rot last year, from what I’ve seen so far this plant I’m growing now has much better PM resistance with no signs of mold or anything so I’m confident she will last till the chop :)

Hey guys I came out here today to check her out and now all of the stigmas are fading out pretty much so I’m wondering if I’m closer to the chop than I was thinking?
Edit: I realize now that maybe my insecticidal soap might have been the reason for them to fade so rapidly, but alas I have nothing else to fight the spider herpes with. On a good note I saw my first few amber trichs today on that top bud :)A8CEDAB6-D762-4A6D-8358-1BEE35CA3063.jpeg681A447A-B366-4D99-BCD9-BE661B0B4EEE.jpeg

Isopropyl alchohol, water, and potassium bicarbonate. Tha alcohol will kill the live mites. And the potassium bicarbonate will protect you from powdery mildew and bud rot. When I need to, I use 70% iso 4 pints, mixed with 5 pints of water and add 2tsp of potassium bicarbonate. Then, at different times, I might add a small (1-2 tsp) castile soap as well. And other times I have added spinosad just to help keep any bugs I'm trying to kill too accustom one particular treatment.

With or without the soap and/or spinosad, it kills all of the live mites it touches. And hasn't hurt my plants.

I’ll have to try that, the soap doesn’t seem to have hurt my plant or anything just oxidized the stigmas. So since your spray kills the adults what about the eggs? I know the insecticidal soap only kills adults and the eggs are too hard so you have to wait for them to hatch. Thank you for the reply!

Same story, I'm afraid. When it happens to me, I will spray two days in a row. Then wait a day before spraying again. Then wait two days before spraying again. Then get out the microscope to make another evaluation. Hopefully you kill all of the adults before they can lay any eggs this way. And over a week or so kill off all the newly hatched mites before they reach maturity.
This time of the year the alchohol/ water/ potassium bicarbonate mix, comes in handy if you need to keep them at bay until harvest time. It doesn't leave any residue to speak of. And it'll take out any aphids, worms, and other nasty things it touches. While at the same time protecting the plants from mildew. I use it in the evening and early morning to avoid hitting bees with it. I don't want them getting hurt.

Btw, nice plant!
I really appreciate you providing me with an alternate solution for the spider mites. Thankfully it’s looking like I am going to be ok, they are only on one bud, I’m going to rinse my buds off when I harvest to hopefully remove both any spider mite remains as well as any soap residue. I will have your solution ready to roll for my next outdoor :)9BBA8BB5-34CA-4AF1-85D8-28C1C914C7FF.jpeg
