Reducing Uv ray last few weeks of flowering

I had a friend tell me that he knows a guy, that would use shade cloth to, what I’m assuming is to reduce the intensity of the sun, cover their plants about the last 3-4 weeks of flowering and they come out looking a little nicer and possibly increasing the quality, does anyone have any experience with this or heard of this

It sounds contrary to what I might describe as conventional wisdom, euphemistically speaking

I asked a guy I know and he talked to another guy that heard from a friend who has a friend that says that's not true.

I've never heard of this and without knowing any actual data behind it, I'm just going to conclude that it is false.

People do use shade cloth to help protect outdoor plants, but I've never heard of it being used for what you described.
