reflector

hey guys. I'm about to set up my first closet grow ever and i bought two 55 watt full spectrum flourescent tubes but the fixture doesnt have a reflector. is there anything i can use to construct a makeshift reflectors for the light and around the plants? aluminum foil?

any information having to do with this would be greatly helpful. thanks.

paint your grow room white, or get some mylar, do not use tin foil. it's creases make hotspots.

awesome, ill get some mylar right away. in addition to making a reflector around the lights should i put it anywhere else around the plant? and if so how do i do this without restricting air flow to the plant/

i just use painted peices of cardboard, and place them around the pots. as they grow, i move the cardboard back. i don't use reflectors with flouro tubes.
