Reg Seeds Queston

I bought some seeds from Gooeybreeder and got like 50 freebies. They are all regular seeds though so could be male could be female. I have done 3 auto grows and am halfway through my first photo (which I am liking more so far but just hit flowering this week). So, I am planning my next grow and I plan to use these seeds. The photos were feminized that I am growing now.

My question is how the hell do i plan this out? I have a 4x4 tent that can barely comfortably fit 4 good sized plants. How many should I plant to start? Some will come male some will come female. Is there any rule of thumb or just plant like 10 and hope for 4 females and when i get 10 just kill 6?

Hello I run regular and fems seeds here's my way. I run 3 4x4 I put 10 regs in one tent 10 regs in another and 9 fems in the last,(all in 7.5l pots/coco) I then Veg out for few weeks (not too much) and flower I'm looking for around 9-10 fems out all the regs that get put into one tent them I throw out the boys and fill up that remaining tent with another 9 fems and stagger that tent. I do this to pheno find as many seeds as possible in a run yeah it's not perfect and can be squished and messy but I plan to dail in with keepers and drop numbers. I would suggest fill yours with 10-12 regs and veg out and hope for 50% females. Obvs another tent will help you out greatly

Not sure if I plan on running reg seeds normally. I grow for fun/consumption these were just free and i got like 50 of them. I am not pheno hunting (not sure how to do all that yet) just trying to get goof at growing good weed and we go from there. Are reg seeds even worth my time? I am thinking maybe possibly maybe not run these and get some fem seeds at this very second. check back in 2 seconds though lol

See, i just changed my mind I am definitely going to run them so I have an idea of what to do with reg seeds just for the knowledge. I'll probably end up pollinating the whole crop but that's okay.

Basicly yes.
You got 2 options first option planr and hope to have girls cannabis trows more girls than boys you have the odds.
Second option force the plants to flower as soon as possible get sexes then reveg fill the space and continue

Males usually grow faster and taller than females

Haha make up ya mind! Hmm since you have nearly 1 photo grow under ya belt I would stick with fems personally and get to know the plants in general lst/topping when to flower different structures indica/sativa etc. But entirely up to you

In a 4x4 with free seeds I'd start 10-12 . Plant all that germinate in small pots . From there I'd grow them out for a few weeks and turn the lights to 12-12 . Males will show themselves first . Post pics here if you're unsure .

Cull the males if you're not interested in making seed and put the rest back into veg . During veg cull any that look weak until you have what you need to fill your tent and flower what's left .
