Regular Seeds

I had my first run with female seeds 100% success pulled a few lbs.

I switched to hydro and regular seeds. I had a lot of issues. I was waiting to see if I could tell the sex of the plant, never happened.

They got two big I flipped and could sex them. They were just too big.

I don't get it with regular seeds, you must flip to tell sex of plant. Then go back to 24/0 light for two weeks?

What week do you flip in veg to flower to tell sex of plant. I don't think I could personally tell without a flip.

with regs, I like to take clones, root them, then flip the clones to sex. Just keep track of which clone goes with which plant. More work but you don't stress your plants that way. I use fems too, they're just easier to deal with if you have strict plant limits. Regs are for breeding and pheno hunting when you have enough space and limit leeway to do them justice.

Some strains will show quickly, and some may almost never show. Some you can start on 12/12 all the way through finish. Pure Haze

Also some feel that 18/6 with make them declare sex faster vs 24/7. I run 24/7 for 43 years. Unless I want them to grow slower.
Ive had to flip Super Silver haze from Mr Nice before, as none out of the whole pack wanted to declare until I flipped them, but this isnt the norm. Ive also grown them, and they showed jsut fine...Usually I can tell between 4-6 weeks. I also start seedlings-flowering under 1000w HID/Hortilux HPS.
