Reliable Soil PH Test Method

How do you guys test your soil PH? I tried one of those rapitest kits that you use the capsule of powder into a vial that changes color. I can do the same soil 5 times and get a totally different reading each time.

Doesn't anyone test their soil?

no one really tests there soil....just get a good brand or go organic... ph your water ....i never once ever tested the ph of the soil...why are you concerned about your soil? anything wrong?......

No real problem. I just have newbie info overload. I have read many threads that refer to the PH of the soil as it won't take nutes etc. So I got a test kit that supposedly tests PH,N,P,and K. Each in separate vials. I do test PH of my well water which is always 6.5. I use FFOF soil.
I have never grown anything before, so I may be making it harder than it should be.
