My wife just got promoted and we are relocating to the greater Ann Arbor area. I have grown on a large scale in the past here in Florida, but after the birth of our first child four years ago I gave it up because the risk in not worth the reward down here. I suffer from chronic pain from multiple knee surgeries, so I'm excited as a pig in shit that in two months my obsession will be legal. Seriously I've been jerking it to High Times and grow journals for four years lmao.
I just had a few questions if you guys don't mind giving me some insight.
I've heard all it takes to establish residency is to register your vehicle and change your licence, is this true?
I work part time as a server here in Florida, being that Florida is a tourist industry state I know I will probably make less money, but was wondering if anyone works in this service industry, and could give me an idea of what I'm getting into.
any areas of Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Jackson, Livonia, that we should steer clear of?
Seriously how bad is the weather??? We have spent most of our lives in Florida and Southern California...
I am law student, so I am well versed in the entire Michigan Medical Marihuana act, and the McQueen ruling that will be coming out in the next few months, and the changes that were just made a few days ago. I have four friends who already live in Michigan with their cards, and don't have a caregiver assigned who plan on filing the paperwork assigning me as their caregiver once I am up and running after a few crops. Now they will be living hours away from where we are, so they are purely doing this to allow me to legally grow to the law's full capacity. I'm thinking a SOG style grow harvesting 5 plants every week over a 15 week cycle. Now the McQueen case should be settled before I even see my first harvest, and if it goes the way of okaying patient to patient transfers I shouldn't have any legal worries getting rid of my meds, especially since I will be operating under the FEDS 99 plant threshold.
My concerns are how flooded is the market? Im all for low priced top quality meds (the strains I used to grow down here were Sour Diesel,OG Kush, and Master Kush), but I would at least like to be able to cover the costs of my expensive but rewarding hobby.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated! My family and I are extremely happy to be moving to a State that is far more culturally advanced than Florida, despite the economic climate that wont really effect me since my wife will be making a great salary with one of the best corporations in the country.
