*Remove bud rot and let plant finish?

Hello to those looking,

My humidity and ventilation are fine,

However i still get a little bit of bud rot because i have big buds so i can't complain.

Now i was always led to beleive to remove the infected bud away from the grow room cut and the rot and dry etc.

I don't like this method because the bud has not finished growing and the trichomes are clear.

So i prefer to cut the bud rot mold out and leave the bud to finish which is what i have done on this grow, it's 5 days away from 8 weeks and the finish line.

Does anyone else use this method as it is the first time i have done it this way?

This just simply cant be true if you're getting ANY bud rot at all.. Whats you RH late in flowering?

When my Dehumidifier packed up I have a bit of rot and picked it off and thye carried of fattening up nicely.

I didn't really want to discuss my humidity as i said it's fine so is my ventilation,

My buds are big and dense a bit of bud rot will happen that's life,

It's only on two buds out of a whole grow ain't bad so given your reply it sounds like you also just cut the bud rot out and let the plant finish and it grow bigger and finishes correctly thats what i now want to get in the habit of doing.

You missed the point, if your ventilation was fine you couldn't have budrot, so you have a humidity issue of some sort otherwise bacteria or mold wouldn't be able to grow.

Maybe you missed the point bud rot is not directly linked to Humidity and Ventilation although these factors play a major role in the onset of bud rot.


Even with really low humidity and good ventilation, if you buds are big and very dense you will still run the risk of mold.

But once again my question and post is put aside and i always end up talking about something completely different lol.

Sounds like you are doing well in preventing the bud rot my friend. I do the same thing with one of my large blueberyys, but my problem is mainly humidity, BEST thing to do when you have bud rot is to remove it off plant asap and remove from grow area, BUT i woud advice to use alcholo to clean infect area to prevent re bud rotting. I Don't see the point in quick drying it or cutting down plant unless the plant is getting fuked side ways by bud rot. ALSO you can buy STOP BUD ROT which you spray on plants for protections againts bud rot, which i am thinking of buying, always remove it bro let the buds grow out till harvest and trim any unwanted bud rot in the progress. There is some products out there that you can buy but really dpepends on timming. Good luck bro!!
