Remove seed shell on new root?

Got a seed germed and planted , shot up but the shell is split but intact covering top, how or when will it come off? Better to keep out of light?

make sure it is very moist, and it should come off no problem. if it's dry and stuck, mist it every 5-10 min for an hour and see if it helps.

Just leave it.. It comes off on it's own. It doesn't hurt your plant at all.. pulling it off could.
