removing plants that are flowering out of direct sun

ok, so i have one last plant and it's flowering, most probably week 6 or 7, it has about 9 hours of direct sunlight now. if i move it to somewhere where there is only a few hours of sun, will that screw up the flowering process?

I'm gonna say yes because when a plant is outside they never truly get darkness untill the sun is gone if you shift it out of the direct sunlight it has now you could compromise the late day sun on it.

there will still be light from the sun, but no direct sun - would that help at all? i'm just getting a bit paranoid
