What's up everybody? I'm fairly new to RIU and LEDs but I figure this is a good time to start a thread anyway. I'm building a CXB3590 fixture to replace the gavita pro 750flex DE in my 4x4 tent. The gavita has been a great light but it simply creates too much heat in my setup, even when dimmed to less than 400 watts.
For now I'll be running a total of 8 CXB3590s with 2 mean well 1400ma drivers on 2 heatsinkusa 36" x 5.886" heatsinks. The plan is to add another 8 cobs for a total of 16 before long.
I have already built one strip of 4 and placed it in my tent with my small plants temporarily. I'll be posting pics of the lights going together over the next few days.
Here's my workspace I threw together just for this project.
Here are the 2 seeded ladies that just came down. Last ones under the gavita. On the left is the sour grape and the right is sour lifesaver. They were both crossed with a deep strawberry diesel male.
