if you are talking about going from soil to hydro, yes it is possible.....

this really should be done during the vegetative growth stage... so dont do it if you are flowering...

it will shock the plant yes.. but there are some thing you can do it limit the amount of shock...

first when you move it to the hydro system you have to be gentle when you wash the roots off.. the best way to do this is to get a large container with ph'd room temp water... like a 5 gallon bucket or something.. remove the entire root ball and submerge it into the bucket... very very carefully begin removing the dirt from the roots.. you can bob the plant up and down in the water to help also... the more gentle you are the less the shock will be inflicted...

if you have some superthrive or thrive alive, a transplant shock inhibitor basically, then add that to the water when you clean the roots... this will help to... well.. lessen the shock as well..

if your plant is strong and healthy, and you are gentle, your girl shouldnt have any problems surviving.. she may be stunted for a couple days.. but should return to normal growth farily quickly...
