I've got a few clones that i had in 1,5l Cola bottles. They've been repotted for a week now into 3,5l smart pots (which are a lot wider).
A few of those clones are a real shit hermie strain that i obviously dont want so i took them out of the pots. The roots has spread nicely downward, but nothing (from what i could see) to the sides.
Is it always like that when repotting? Maybe it just takes longer time for the roots to spread to the sides? A lot of wasted space otherwise when repotting into wider pots (bigger pots are usually always wider).
When repotting maybe you should roughen up the sides or something to "point" the roots outwards?
