Reptile fogger for hydroponics

I want to get into hydro and decided I want to give fogponics a try.

My buddy has given me a reptile fogger for free so I plan on using that and connecting it to my container via tubing to produce the fog.

I know that water temp is important for hydro and I was wondering if I need to add warm water 68F-70F to the repfile fogger right away or do I just add cold water and let it do its thing since it will heat up anyway?

Any tips for this kind of setup you can give me?

Those foggers work really well for keeping the humidity up when growing a couple mono tubs of mushrooms. I question their suitability as a replacement for the size of fog you get with a high-pressure system..

I think once you aerosolize water droplets, they pretty much immediately go to room temp. If you have hot water in a spray bottle and mist it, it's much cooler than what's in the bottle because the droplets are so small the heat dissipates immediately. Probably even faster if we are talking about fog. So I doubt it matters what temp the water in the fogger is, but the temp of the room it's in.

The ultrasonic emitter disc will wear out quick unless you use distilled/purified water. Nutrients will wreck it fast.

I would only use it for a cloner, humidifier, or something else...

I tried this with an ultrasonic humidifier, usually used for health reasons. It was my first (and only) stab at true aeroponics. It was a miserable failure.
