Good morning friends,

Here is a little experiment I'm working on for fun thought you all might be interested. I have a deep blue C growing in a small bonsai container of soil, I'm feeding her organically, a simple regimine for this little plant.

I've just completed her second FIM, she was fimmed at her first node, I'm going to show a series of photos so you can see her progress up to this point... Should be fun to see what happens :)

I did a first node fim last grow, ended up with this skeletonView attachment 3722675Made for great structure and easy placement in the tent with a very level top:peace:
Nice man, ya even on plants that I grow for actual product I prefer to FIM or top very early. It gives much better branching off the main trunk and a squatty, sturdy plant. Also in the case of autos it give you plenty of time to grow out those new shoots and shape them how you like.

In this plants case I'm not really going to be shaping I'm just interested in keeping her short and bud packed.

We'll see what comes of it :)

is that a kessil a160we you are using (i think you mentioned it as a kessil 15000k light)? also, do you have it paired with the spectral controller?

It's just the h150a ocean blue 15000k,i dont have the spectral controller yet but I was thinking about getting one.

This little light does a fantastic job finishing plants up.

:P I use an a160we paired with the spectral controller over one of my fish tanks, grows coral really well at least. I have some experience growing coral but just germinated some seeds for the first time a week ago. It would be nice if they simply added the control port to the h380s to pair with the spectral controller (control intensity/spectrum).

I'm encountering some challenges with this little grow. She is getting 1 liter a day at 1 EC, due to the very small amount of soil in this planter and the fact she is in aggressive flowering, she is sucking this medium dry very quickly. I've upped my EC to 1.2 today as she is starting to yellow a little bit. Overall still very healthy, but it's a challenge keeping her properly fed at this point. Soilless would have been a better choice I think. In the future if I decide to do this again I think I will cut a uni Slab of Rockwool to fit this planter and use that instead.

Haha yeah in that Bonsai planter the feeding has to be on you exclusively - amazing how far you've gotten her! 8)
