i was wondering if you can reuse felt root pots, i have one from a hermied plant i rinsed out and wanted to put a mother in, but it has roots stuck in the bottom and i wasnt sure if the dead roots would rot or anything if i just put soil over it and transplanted into it

No old organic materials. They rot and mold etc and can harbor viruses and other crap you don't need in your grow.

just made that decision the other day. I reused one but I scraped the root remnants out the best I could.

I leave root remnants in my smart pots and coco after every grow and have never had any negative consequences. If your plants were healthy last grow, go ahead and re-use the pots.

You can take them to your local coin cleaner and wash them in the largest commercial washer they have. Helps to get out as much material inside as possible. Detergents such as Green Shield USDA Organic work. Should not have to dry your pots, the spin cycle on those commercials dry them well. They come out looking brand new, inside and out. $5.75 for a 37 minute wash in a machine that holds 5 loads = a lot of clean smart pots.

I've actually washed mine in the washing machine at home. They do come out looking like new. But I haven't remembered to do that each grow and the coco makes a mess in the washing machine!
