The legend of Reggae Dub, Lee "Scratch" Perry, aka The Upsetter, has passed at 85. Scratch was a legend among legends, but many have never heard of him. Scratch produced many early Bob Marley works, and his band "The Upsetters" is essentially the same band that backed Bob Marley, The Wailers. I first heard Lee "Scratch" Perry back in high school, and immediately fell in love with his sound. I have been lucky enough to see him in concert (and run concert lighting for him too) multiple times. The guy was totally on another planet, and higher than you can believe. It's a sad day to hear of his passing. RIP, Scratch.
