RIU what happened

Why is it that in every thread i look at there seems to be at least one person who out of nowhere just wants to start shit with everybody arent we all stoners just trying to grow plants to get high? Yes obviously some people know more than others. But none of us here are professionals at this even if youve been growing for years or grow for a dispensary. Unless you have your own seed company or have a never before cross pollinated strain named after you youre still just an amateur Marijuana grower. can we just go back to when someone asks a question they get a response that would answer the question or at least have a link to somewhere to get the answer or at least their own personal opinion?

We help those who wish to help themselves, not be spoon fed information...Besides, any advice you recieve on here is merely that one person's opinion, and others may chime in with conflicting information...Chances are, if you have a question, someone has already asked it before you...You could google your question, and then read through the various hits that take you to relevant message boards, read a lot, and weed through the pages of bullshit to get a couple gem's of decent knowledge...Internet research, it's 2012 man, maybe that is why people look at simple questions on RIU with contempt...

Unfortunately there is a lot of competition with these type of grow sites. They are all trying to get members to their site so advertisers keep paying for advertisements.

One way for a site to lose members is be having asshats give shitty replies.
Some might say the shitty replies might be from someone who has ties to a different site.

Rollitup agreed, and Fdd banned my sister, though she brought a lot to this site, and modded at several others. The overall basic point though, is, help if you can, shut the fuck up if you can't, and if you cause problems, people will notice and ignore your trolling ass...

The knowledge is there, ten-fold...Everyone wants to ask the same 15 questions 100 times, but there are thousands of answers already out there...Like I said, if you are willing to let someone spoonfeed you information, you are solely at the mercy of that persons experience...I'd rather sort through 50 responses to the same question and make up my own mind...

I never hoarded... I bred, collected, traded, and helped other breeders. I never had more than 100 animals (including offspring, which is why the number is so high). I have an affinity for reps, and I'm long versed in husbandry. I have none now, and that makes me sad... My 21' burmese was murdered about two years ago, and I haven't been able to participate in the community since....

I ask simple questions and either get rude answers or an answer so long and drawn out I have no idea of what we were talking about. I am a high school educated carpenter. Keep It Simple Stupid.

I think that should be "keep it stupidly simple"... If you want me to laymanize info, I'd be happy to, but I'd rather not be insulted by someone asking for advice... at that point, my advice is usually "fuck off asshole!".

It would be nice if people got banned for being dicks once in a while. Im a rollitup exclusive and don't plan on going anywhere. Help is nice if I can respect people and give good advise then I expect the same in return.
