Roach Potency

I had a discussion with a friend of mine regarding the potency of roaches. He loves them, I throw mine away.

Does anyone know WHAT if ANYTHING makes a roach more 'potent', or does it just seem to be?

I would think most of the combusted THC would have been smoked, and doesn't 'stick' to the remainder of the pot in the joint. Are there other cannabinoids that remain to make a roach seem 'stronger' than the original mj?

Roaches aren't stronger than the original weed they came from..... that's just common sense..... most of the THC has been burnt away..

That being said.... roaches still contain enough THC to get you high.

ps: but who wants to smoke roaches? they taste like fuckin shit.... make that shit into oil

wouldn't the remaining nug be covered in the resin of what was already burned. Same as a pipe and we all know resin gets you high, but yea it does taste like shit. I don't normally smoke j's but I always put my roaches in a box to save for a rainy day(no weed)

Yes there are many other cannabinoids present in a Roach.
There are 60 some cannabinoids in total.
Cannabinol (CBN) is the primary product of THC degradation, and there is usually little of it in a fresh plant. CBN content increases as THC degrades(from smoking) and is mostly responsible for the 'Burnt-out' and 'down' Feeling ya get from smoking roaches-It may feel stronger but it's not really just a different type of effect due to higher levels of secondary cannabinoids.
