Robbing a bank

I live in San Diego, Ca and everday it seems like someone has robbed a bank. The thought keeps wondering through my head about just how easy it would really be. All the stories are the same, a person in baggy clothes, sunglasses hands the teller a note saying I have a gun give me the cash, takes the dough and leaves. What ever happened to security? I am in no mindset to ever do this but its always there in the back of my head. what do you guys think.

Better off having an armored truck hit a land mine on a secluded stretch of road. Blow that sucker 25 feet up in the air...gravity cracks it open. Like when a seagull drops a clam on rocks. Happens too fast for drivers to make a call. double homicide. high stakes...high reward.

WOW that sounds like a horrible thing to do, you would have to be straight criminal to do something like that. And where you going to get a land mine tha big those armored trucks are heavier than shit.

All criminal activity is horrible to a degree. Yes this degree is higher. Yes the reward is greater. You can blow up an entire building with enough explosives. A little artistic paint job you can make a land mine that looks identical to the road and is just as wide. Can be remotely detonated...cars could drive over it all day long and not notice it as you could taper the edges and make it wide and long enough to seem like a "swell" in the road as opposed to a bump.

You'd be the guy walking around coated in pink dye for half a day until you got rolled up.

everything takes planning. I live on a tourist lake and have already planned out a nice long rifle shot. 3 boats all a few miles around the corners and its allover as soon as the shots rang out. you have to wreck the first 2 boats but they are crap anyways something noone will look twice at, a 14ft aluminum craft or something. 1 shot is disorienting to the people on the beach not knowing where it came from. take the shot and watch everyone in boats start to leave in a hurry and you get in line with them, but you are going out to deeper water instead of heading in. switch boats and keep going. disassemble your weapon ditch the boat, done.

You could even make it out of asphalt on top...and thick steel on the bottom. Explosives travel in the path of least resistance...the tighter the explosives are restricted...the higher the detonation. Upwards through the asphalt would be the path of least resitance and yes it'd pack a wallop.

To gain what? Murder? There are easier ways to off someone than that. (fyi and everyone else's...I'm not doing or planning on doing any of this...honestly...if I was...I wouldn't talk!!!) But if murder was your goal...travel to another state...kill a hobo/drifter. go back home. Police have trouble connecting people to crimes without any prior connection to the deceased. (That's why you can never kill your wife/husband...whoever is alive...did it 99/100)

It's not worth it to rob a bank. A former associate of mine was telling me one day about one of his friends(some dude I met before) had robbed a couple banks in SF. One day the feds showed up at my friends house and endicted him to testify against his friend.

long story short, when you rob a bank, you have the feds on your ass. NOBODY wants the feds on their ass.

see what you started, lol, are you a terrorist?
No. Not at all...I am a WASPY d00d with a squeaky clean everything that marvels how criminals will kill a gas station clerk because shit goes south...and get $20. If you are a person capable of murder...be honest with yourself and go for it. If you are willing to risk 35 years of jail time for $20. Certainly you are willing to risk the chair for $5 million dollars.

Did I take the fun out of "imagine how to rob a bank?" lolz. Sorry about that. But...congrats...you shouldn't rob a bank. Murder is likely. The penalties are massive. Death for yourself...is a strong possibility. To me...it'd never be worth it. My life isn't too bad. My desires are smallish and they can be met without committing a felonious act. I have no strong religious beliefs. No burning desire that is stronger than the desire to never see the inside of a prison. But a fertile imagination all the same.

Alright so I have a "friend" that came up with this idea so I don't take credit.

He thought, well instead of going into the bank with yourself to rob it, why not make a simple motorized robot with a bomb strapped to it, and a camera so u can see whats going on. (ok so why is everyone getting bomb ideas in this thread LOL) and just have a sign on it that says give me the money or the bomb blows, if you touch the device, the bomb blows, if you hesistate, the bomb blows, if you cant put 10k on this thing in 60 seconds, the bomb blows.

of course the bomb would be a bag of rice painted black with wires all over it to make it look legit, but think about it. youd make national television, you would be THE FIRST person to rob a bank with a robot.

Hey dont take this idea, this shits patented k?

I think you friend got too stoned and forgot about getting the robot back with the money without it being followed. It isn't like it'll do 50mph and remote controlled robots aren't the easiest thing to smoothly drive away with.

and that a robot sophisticated and strong enough to pull it off...might cost $10,000 to build.
