rock cubes and clones

why do people put 4 cuttings in one cube?
do they grow all 4 in one cube?
can i get 3x more plants off of one cube?

no you cant do that. uou can cut the cube with knife into 4 pieces and use them seperately to plug clones

I've done it just for kicks. You save space but lose time when you cut them - tiny plants don't like root pruning and it slows them down quite a bit. But I don't think many people grow three or four in such close proximity, they chop the blocks. It's really a technique for doing large volumes of clones.
