I have pm'd admin.
Mrs Rare Dankness was banned for talking about a promo
that they are having at a seed bank that doesn't advertise here.

Rollitup has already chased a bunch of my friends from the seed collectors thread.
Any chance of this site giving me the heads up on how many people you are trying to get rid of here?
Really getting a lot of mixed signals.

Typical. Mods always screw up a site. Ya get some good ones and then the ones withan agenda all of their own. Anything or anyone contary their way gets the door.
TSD may not advertise here but until it's members started getting banned they were very pro RIU.

As a business person I just sit here and wonder whose market share thus will adversely effect? RD sales gonna drop? Hardly

DUDE, WTF? when it's convenient it's a business and when it's not it's some bullshit bleeding hearts just for the patients fuck making a dollar movement. Stupid shit. I remember when a forum was a forum, you dig? LOL. When you could talk all about shit and dis people without getting the ban and give your opinion and a heads to places and people doing things. After I waited thru all that bob harris bullshit and the infighting I thought we were finally where we could speak our minds and shit. I'm having threads deleted "advertising" a farmer's market and now this in the same 7 day span. WTF? Where is the fear coming from you webmaster pussies? Anyone ever actually lost a court battle over the shit in the rules?

The whacking of the ban hammer seems odd to me here. I can only imagine the legal advice RIU seeks and receives regularly. That said, I do not believe some of the mods here are getting the spirit of this advice nor handling such situations as this with equality. I hope that once everyone gets there head on strait this can be resolved peacefully. I truly believe Mrs. RD was an asset to our community and that if RIU feels a ban was the right thing to do they should at a minimum provide a clear explanation to us members before we find ourselves in the same position.

The reason I enjoy hanging here in the Michigan Patient forum is that our Mods, like stumpjumper, are minimally intrusive and needed actions taken are done so relatively quietly.

I'd be surprised if she wasn't warned first, but you have to look at the bigger picture.

The site sponsors PAY out the ass to advertise here.. If you was paying big bucks to run an add here would you want your competition to be placing ads for free?

A plug is a plug, spam is a spam, rules are the rules.. Warnings and deletions should be the first step of action though IMO.

I agree with stump. If they banned her without warning, then that was a dick move. If she was warned first and then continued to plug the place she was warned about, then I think the ban was warranted.

She was NOT warned first and has told me that if asked she WOULD have not posted the tsd promo and advertised here with a special RIU promo. She never had the chance because the hammer was dropped with zero warning.

There has to be something else behind this, as there are multiple members stating that they have been warned and had threads deleted for the same reasons mrs rd was banned.

i dont know what happened, but i do know rollie needs to be really pushed to bring in the ban hammer,and im sure she would have been warned a few times before hand. its on staff now, so we should find out shortly.
