IF your VPN operates in the USA it will be forced to hand over your data or be shut down, honestly they probably have direct real time access to VPN logs already. These are the tactics the government has been using for a long time. VPN's were dead a long time ago, torrents killed that shit. They are no safer then using your own connection IMO. The government operates on the "if you're hiding something you must have something to hide" ideology, they will get your info from anywhere if they want it.
Tor isn't even safe. Safer, yes, but you can be tracked on Tor. If you're big-time enough to question whether you need to hide what you're posting you shouldn't be posting at all. Simple basic common sense is enough to keep you safe, don't post pictures of yourself where you live or your family or pets. Don't post where you are from. Don't post pictures of packages shipped to your house. Make sure location data is removed from pictures.
If you think you can't be tracked just remember on simple word "Terrorism".
If VPN's were even remotely safe people wouldn't use Gmails draft folder to have secret conversations.
