Is it a good idea to remove premature popcorn bud on a 6 week flowering plant to direct the energy up towards the top buds, this plant has been a little bit sick throughout the flowering stage, sum deficiency, but shes a fighter!i think its to do with the medium, anyway popcorn buds...yay or nay??

That is a good question, lots of people do that here, but personally I prefer to leave them on. I then harvest the top part of the plant and allow the immature popcorn buds to mature. This late into your flower I don't know what benefits you would gain by removing them.

I always make sure that i lolly pop the plant high enougth to try to avoid these fluffy little buds.I certainly would not remove them till the end of the grow the buds may firm up a little giveing you that bit of extra weight.Iam not one that makes butter and has waste of time to me i have other things to do rather than make this stuff.Soap bar hash is only 40 pound a ounce any how so it is not worth it to me.Same has the bubble hash [red and gold] seal i may be talking b4 you tried this but i loved this stuff this still goes around once a month so i always get a ounce of that to mix a nice cocktail.Slat bar is about the same price has soap bar 40ounce.Leave them dude and they may supprise you and firm up giveing good dence buds. What have you to lose nothing.

Thanks this is good advice. I also was wondering if it was a good idea to remove them prior to this thread. i too had heard that it was advanageous for the plants to have them removed but i like the idea of trying to let them bulk up after harvesting the top part of the plant.

i was under the impression that some ppl do this in order to allow the plant to put forth all its energy to the upper cannopies that the light is reaching rather than waste some of its energy on the lil popcorn buds that dont get enough light.
