Room Size Question

Hey Everyone,

So, I was thinking about how to divide my room up. This way, I will be able to do a veg n flower room.
I think I know how it should be done, but any re-assurance, help, or concerns would be great, even negative comments.

The room is 9'9 (L) x 6'8 (W) x 6'11 (H), there is a small wall up right now (can be taken down and, or rebuilt to change the size) making it two rooms.
The wall makes one room 6'9 and the other 3'.

What I was thinking of doing was to leave one room bigger make it the veg room? That way I can veg more plants, some for longer periods, and just move them over when they're ready. Also, I can store the mother plants, which take up extra space there.

The other options are to flip this design make the bigger room the flower room because flowering plants are bigger, or move the wall and make each room the same size.

Any feedback is great, sorry if I'm over thinking things, I just like to be all planned out before I start things.

Thanks,

personally I would make both rooms the same size, more size in one and less in the other might throw you off. at least if they are the same size, you can have almost an equal amount of plants in each room. GL on your grow GAM420bongsmilie

Thanks for the replies! Smaller room for veg was my first thought, but the other way sounded better after. Probably 3 600w or possibly 400w, that is still not set in stone.

Flower room should be 2-4 times your veg space. If you stagger your grow you will have 4-6 plants
vegging at varying sizes while another 4-6 full-size plants (for me -- 18-24 inches when they go from veg to flower).

I have a perpetual grow going with my 8 x 8 foot flower room and my 3 x 4 foot veg space. I average harvesting
7-8 plants a month. Sounds like your space would yield about 2/3 of my growing space and about the same potential
harvest schedule.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Thanks alot BigSteve, looks like great advice, I shall do it that way. Do you go with clones or from seed for this setup? And do you keep the mothers and new clones if you use clones in the veg room as well?
