Root rot or staining?

All,

So I am running IWS.

Week 2 flower
2.0EC
6.1 PH.

600w Hps lights.
Temps 28 on, 18 off.

My plants seem to be growing well but when looking closely today I noticed strange roots.

They appear stained with the lower being browner, growth seems fine some yellowing of older leaves. 1 plant in particular had barely any roots but is growing OK, on closer look there are new roots growing.

I believe last week my PH was too low, could this have killed off some roots?

Please see images. I have refreshed the res, ordered safeguard and h202.

They may appear thin as I have just removed alot of leaves. Any feedback would be great from anyone who has experienced this.

Did you remove the roots? Where’s your root mass... no good man.
This is my concern, it seemed to have just disappeared yet the plant has not slowed down, and there appear to be new roots growing out almost as if it is starting again.

The second pic is fine for an Iws as they are in 8lr pots and I have copper disks to prevent the roots coming through the bottom.

I’m newer to hydro myself but from what I know I’m assuming the roots rotted off. You already changed water, stuff should of been cleaned then. You either need to control your water temp and or use something like hydroguard or southern ag garden friendly fungicide. Someone else might chime in with more info that knows more. Nutrient staining isn’t slimy to the touch. If it’s slime it’s rot. I dont know anything about having copper in the water. Missed the IWS part as well which explains less root.

Cheers not heard of it falling off before, never had to deal with root rot. Will the new roots simply take over replacing old? I have ordered the hudroguard and it will arrive Thursday just wondering if there's anything more I can do right now....? I have also removed any brown roots from other plants (they are not slimey and do not smell BTW)

Thanks

Just for anyone who reads this thread, I treated the roots with hydrogen peroxide at 2ml per 10lts water, I done this for 48 hours a dose each day.

I then emptied the res and replaced all nutrients and added hydrogusrd.
