Root Sharing.

Hi I have a question about root sharing.

If I were to get a very large container. Could I grow say x amount of plants in the container, sort of like a bubble bucket but bigger. Could all the plants just share a root system within the container? Instead of having individual buckets? Would I just need a spot to test ph out of the huge container? It would be a hydroponic grow.

Would there be an issue with other plants over growing the other plants?

Anyone? It would be like a Dwc set up. But roots would be together.
