Rooted Clones

Hey guys so im able to buy some rooted clones from a friend of a friend, but im wondering what would be the best way to do this as i want to transplant them into the ground or in a big pot outside.

If the rooted clone is still young and hasnt been under light for that long indoors would it carry on vegging outside? Or has it got to do with the light schedule that the mother plant had before it was cut. So my idea is to get rooted cuttings that are freshly rooted so that they wont start flowering when i put them outside.

The only other option that i am aware of would be to keep growing that cutting under a light schedule indoors until the longest day of the year when i plant it outside. I would like to avoid this as i dont have a big enough indoor set up to do that and other plants.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Im pretty much at the end of the first spring month here in the Southern Hemisphere so its early in the grow season, i get around 9 hours of direct sunlight where i am growing outdoor so going from a 12 hour indoor light schedule will definitely initiate flowering too early.

If i put the plant outside and have to ride it out through a reveg would this greatly impact quality and size of yield

You don't have to wait until the solstice to put plants outside except with a very few strains that start to flower with pretty much anything less than 18 hours. I personally put mine out the first of May. Sometimes a week or two earlier depending on weather. That's 7-9 weeks before the summer solstice here.

Revegged plants will definitely yield less because of the significantly reduced veg time. I have found that revegged can sometimes have a much higher quality if they never fully recovered before going back to flowering.
