All right RIU member's! Has anyone dried a a plant upside down with the roots and all. I have been all over this site and never seen any post saying this is a way to start drying process. Cut at stem and hang but never root's and all. I've been told I no nothing of what I am doing yes first grow but with the member's here and advice here and there I feel like I am on the right track. I hate feeling like put down all the time:cry: not on the site but at home. Let me know if there is any one who has heard of this technique of drying I think it would dirty the buds as they are in the process of drying. Any and all comments welcome I don't believe in root's and all method so if you are a negative comment don't direct it at me just respond that it's a dumb idea. Thanks for any replies.

I've never heard of such a thing or seen it done, nor can I imagine a benefit of hanging your plant with the roots still on?

Is the person telling you to do this also telling you things like, hanging a plant upside down makes THC flow from the stems to the buds?

No just a know it all who has to keep me under his thumb with control. But I must say I thought the later half of your response was true. This is my situation at home gonna vent all open myself up personally. I have 4 current females 1 auto that I stunted and buds have matured on some so I pick and am impatient. but it's my little auto and helps me make it through my day with what I have to deal with.

Ok was just making sure they didn't have some crazy reasoning for telling you to hang the plant upside down with the roots attatched.

Hanging upside down doesn't transfer any canabinoids to the buds. So I don't know why you'd hang with the roots, just sounds silly and messy.

my thought's exactly but then what do I know. Even though he didn't know what a male plant looked like ball's. I know a lot of people are like you take so long to grow why be impatient. The thing is this is a fast grower auto that I stunted and it has budded flowered and such I know what to look for and it has given me so much relief with the shit I have to deal with. This person yu can get into an argument with and by the end you are at fault 22 yrs dealing with this shit.

Never heard of this either o_O Although I have heard of boiling roots prior to drying. And found this too : https://www.rollitup.org/t/any-benefit-of-drying-the-entire-plant-whole.97873/

If you have anywhere near decent sized root balls, this would be messy indeed. You might want to ask this question over at the Harvesting and Curing forum. Perhaps someone, over these, has run across this technique and knows of even one reason wtf anyone would do this?

Don't apologize for being impatient. This is the most impatient time of the year. It's like waiting for Christmas when you were a kid :hump: But instead of asking "will Christmas ever get here?". We ask, "will those damn trichs ever start to turn amber?"....LOL

Good Luck :peace:

boil the roots and hang it upside down and the THC will go from the roots to the buds. :eyesmoke:

You will see the stem turn red from the bottom to the top, until it hits the buds, and they will swell with THC.

THC lives in the roots.

Just kidding.

The only thing it's going to do is make you have to sweep up your drying room after. And probably cause dirt and debris to fall onto your buds. Also if you're outdoors it could bring in little pests. It could slow down the drying process a. tad if you dry THEN trim. I honestly can't think of any benefits of doing it myself. I suggest just chopping and hanging. If it ain't broke don't fix it sort of thing.

I wasn't going to do the roots that is the dumbest idea I said someone told me that's how they would do it. The person likes control and controlling me anything I do is wrong. Greenlikemoney I do read the fine print. I agree with you all he told me this and wanted to hear the sarcastic remarks. I am laughing with you all.
