Not ready to transplant.

For sure, nevermind those runner roots. Always remember,...... top growth is a direct reflection of root mass/ health/ development. When in doubt... wait it out!

If you keep them in another sealed cup the moisture inside will draw the roots out into it. If it's open the roots will air prune and fill the medium instead
Don't get too caught up with light touching the roots. Imo it doesn't matter much. The only issues you will come across is algae.

So I transplanted Jan 3rd. She is very happy in her new home and was perked up after 16 hrs or so.. I did have a rough time with transplant, I think bc I thought she was drier but was in fact pretty moist and the soil started separating... ugh.. worried she'll flower due to stress but she seems OK now. We'll see. I put myco on roots and in transplant hole.
I wanted to ask what you people think about these roots. Is this considered the start of rootbound? Was this good timing to move or late/ early.
Trying to judge for next time.
BTW the 40 rh is with tent door open

Most people dont get root bound under normal situations growing weed.
I had some a few week back that were , possibly for the first time after many many years growing.
Wish I'd taken pics.
Roots circle in hard pots, or escape through holes..
They have calcium receptors and hit something like plastic and carry on growing creating circling , it's just what roots do.

So do you think I should have waited to transplant or it doesn't really matter either way?

You're fine.
If it's an auto, transplanting might stunt it, but I think that's only some autos. I dunno, I hear conflicting things about that.
Like was said, root bound is not a common problem really. A healthy cannabis plant happily fills a new, bigger pot with roots.
The bigger issue with being in too small a container is the wet/dry cycle gets really short and if you're not careful, boom, crispy plants.

Can I ask you something...
So I watered yesterday for 1st time since transplanting to 3gal. I allowed run off and that runn off measured 550ppm and 7.4ph.
Now the plant looks quite happy so I'm not too concerned as I think that's rule number 1.
The soil is
ffof
Perlite
Neem meal 3 tbsp
Worm castings 2 cup
myko 3 tblsp
Gaia 4 4 4 rec dose
Dolomite lime
So my question is.... isn't the ph high and ppm low?
Should I add anything like maybe more Dolomite lime? If I'm not mistaken that helps with ph adjusting. Not sure what I added to begin with.
I also have raw brand silica. Haven't used yet though..
Also, isn't ppm supposed to be 900-1000?
If so what to do?
Any help appreciated..

The plants look happy and the soil mix sounds good so I wouldn't change anything. The ph doesn't really matter as much in soil. You're fine with just the little bit of lime you added.
If you think the PPM is low, you can try pushing the plant harder with more feed and light. In veg I like those mild liquid fish fertilizers.
But sometimes the best thing is just to do nothing and let it cruise along.
