Roses vs Marijuana?

I'm new to all this so bare with me, I've always heard that growing Mj is vary similar to growing roses and I've done my fare share of time in the rose garden. So I'm wondering if it's true and if not do y'all have any tips for a first timer?

Growing roses is more like growing grapevines. Roses are woody, whereas weed is grassy. Roses are perennial, while weed is an annual. If anything weed is less demanding than roses. They're less prone to disease and drought. It grows on sandier soils than roses too.
